History
Diano Sereta is a village in the municipality of Diano Marina. The village was a safe haven for people fleeing raids by the Saracens; the houses are partly fortified and hard to access. The village then became part of the municipality of Diano Marina during the 12th century.

Diano Sereta belongs to the municipality of Diano Marina and is one of the villages in the province of Imperia which lies in the Liguria region. There are several other villages near Diano Sereta, for example: Gorleri (1.5 km), Muratori (1.8 km) and Calderina (1.7km). When coming from Genoa, take the highway exit to San Bartolomeo al Mare, then follow the SS1 towards San Remo, and turn to Via Diano Calderina up to Sereta.
