History
Garbella is part of the municipality of Imperia and lies idyllically at the coast. This small part of Imperia creates a smooth crossing point between the town and the countryside, and between tranquillity and the bustle. Garbella fascinates its visitors with its ligurian flair and captivates with the unique vegetation of the region. The place was already founded in the early Middle Ages and was integrated early into the municipality of Imperia. Garbella was involved in the feud which the various villages in Imperia had against each other over centuries. The dispute was ended in 1923.

Near Garbella are several other villages like: Poggi (3.8 km), Porto Maurizio (2 km) and Caramagna Ligure (4.6 km). From Genoa take the highway exit to Imperia Ovest, then follow the Via Tommaso Littardi up to the SS1, which you will then follow up to the Vicinale Garbella Street.
