History
Sant Agata is part of the municipality of Imperia and lies on a mountain slope above the coast. The place was already inhabited in medieval times and there were settlements in the area and in the surrounding region. Sant Agata became part of the Imperia municipality in the 12th century.

Sant Agata belongs to the municipality of Imperia and is a village in Imperia province which lies in the Liguria region. In the vicinity of Sant Agata are several other villages like: Montegrazie (4.3 km) Borgo d Oneglia (6.9km) and Cason della Guardia (0.8km). From Genoa take the Imperia Est highway exit, then drive on the SS28 and then the Strada Comunale dei Francesi. Thereafter, join the Via Sant Agata towards Borgo Sant Agata.
