Amusement parks are not only for young children, sometimes it is all about amazement and learning. In Liguria you will mostly find a healthy mix of both. Parks, amusement parks, historical sites and also simply amusement centres for communal exercise, e.g. mini-golf, bowling or jumping on the giant trampoline are found everywhere along the coast.
Visit the Aquarium of Genoa
When they visit in the water park at Le Caravelle, whose name the ships of Christopher Columbus once bore, the children will be able to admire the miniature versions of those ships on water and the landscape is designed to replicate the Caribbean Sea. In the sea aquarium of Genova one can see native Mediterranean sea creatures from very close by and subsequently the children can let off steam next door on a pirate boat lying at anchor.
Climbing trees or simply just a rambling train
Small amusement parks with children’s carousel, street artists and sales stands can be seen in summer on almost every beach promenade, and they cater for evening pastime when you still have some energy to spare after visiting the restaurant. The big boys surely have nothing against a race on the Go-Cart –course or the climbing parks in Val di Vara with the longest track of 250m from tree to tree.
